Security Code

The security Code is a small three– or four–digit code printed on your credit card. It is used to further verify the validity of the card in cases, such as online shopping, where the merchant cannot verify the card by the usual means. The code is usually on the back of the card, near the signature strip, however, on American Express Cards it is located on the front.
